Ba.App.Sc (Physiotherapy)
M.App.Sc (Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy)
Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Dave has been working as a Physiotherapist since about 1990 within a variety of sporting and community groups in addition to his clinical duties at MGS.  A Master’s degree in musculoskeletal physiotherapy supports his specific interest in the treatment of mechanical conditions.  These are conditions caused by the way you move (or don’t move) and the forces placed on you by your activity or by the things you land on or bump up against. He likes to work with runners, cyclists, walkers as well as anyone else. Treating the underlying condition is always Dave’s primary concern when someone comes in for assessment. Understanding that person’s goals and activity levels is the first thing to consider.  While rest and recovery are often necessary for the healing process of an injury, Dave likes to find ways to keep a person working, training and living their lives while they recover. “An active recovery is often the best and fastest recovery”. Dave enjoys working with people of all ages and all conditions.

Away from MGS Dave spends a lot of time riding bikes, swimming, running or walking. He says “yes” to any offer of activity and does not like to stay still for too long.  He gets up far too early and rides his bike far too much, however it appears to make him happy.  Dave loves to compete and understands that being competitive is not about winning things which is just as well in his case. For someone who juggles a business, too much exercise and a generally busy life, he always appears so calm and relaxed
