Celeste Martinez

Physiotherapist

Celeste started her career as a physiotherapist almost 10 years ago after graduating from the Buenos Aires University in Argentina.

After some extensive time working in an variety of private practice settings back home, mostly focused in sport injuries and athletes rehab, she decided to start her adventure around the world and moved to Australia in 2017 looking for traveling and professional new experiences.

Celeste has been interested in practicing sports from a very young age. She used to practice Judo, play European handball and soccer and run in Argentina. This was a big inspiration to become a Physiotherapist and to understand that movement is the foundation and one of the key factors within the recovery or rehabilitation process.

Having the opportunity to mix rehab with coaching, Celeste completed her studies to be a PT in Australia in 2019 and then went on to become a Pilates instructor in 2021.

This gave her the incredible opportunity to join and work with a local Soccer team as their Strength and Conditioning Coach during the last 4 years.

While completing her recognition process as an overseas physiotherapist in Australia, Celeste worked during the last 2 years as a remedial and sport massage therapist, experience that enriched her manual skills and knowledge about the human body from a different perspective.

As part of her philosophy as a physiotherapist, Celeste likes to encourage her patients to be part of their own recovery process, focusing on the whole person, making them feel engaged, motivated and working as a team to achieve great results.

One of the most rewarding and exciting reasons to get on board on this amazing journey was about helping people to get back to doing what they love to do and make a difference at the end of their day.

We are fortunate to have Celeste join our Manly MGS Team. Being a Manly local, when she is not working at the clinic, you can find her walking her dog around Manly, enjoying a good book with a coffee or going for a swim at the Bower, which she believes is the best place on earth.
